Good upgrade overall, but my first gen connected better for some reason I upgraded from the first generation AirTag mainly because I wanted the newer version with the louder speaker, and overall I’ve been pretty happy with it. Works as Advertised. Easy to Setup. Based on other users reviews, the first thing I did when I received these AirTags was get out my handy duty all purpose Fluke multimeter and check the battery in each one, making sure they were charged. I had even bought new batteries beforehand, just in case. Spoiler alert: they were good, showing 3.2 volts. The AirTags were easy to add to the Find My app and right now they are pinging as being "With You", which makes sense since they are right here in the house with me. I have one in my drone
Great so far Used the cheap chinese ones but they never work again after changing battery so gave up and went to these.So far after a month all good.

Works great in cat’s collar; could stand to be louder Works great in my cat’s collar, but wish that the sound would ring about 3 notches louder when trying to locate it. I’m glad my neighborhood is pretty quiet, otherwise it would be more problematic pinpointing exactly where my cat is when he decides to take off, instead of staying with me while we’re outside. I thought it was easy to set up and is easy to use, especially to share the AirTag for location awareness to anyone else looking out for my cat.
Another Apple product that works great! Apple devices just work perfectly and AirTags are no exception. Easy to set-up, highly accurate in use. Took a trip an never once wondered where my stuff was. A little heavier than I thought, but that hardly makes a difference (unless you intend to put it on a small dog). Other than that, well designed and useful!
