Delish Seriously fresh and delicious and so easy to cook. My diet is fairly strict so I cook the portions in vegetable/chicken broth for a few minutes. So good; just a little seasoning and lemon. It's just me so I have one portion for dinner/lunch and save the other portion for salad, or on wheat crackers. Yum.
Great product! This trout is super delicious! The price typically is pretty good also. I have found a few bones at times, but that is not unusual. I have purchased many times!
Better than salmon? Trout is the new salmon. It's just as good or better than salmon when cooked just right. This Marine Harvest Steelhead Trout was fresh, moist and delicious.
New go-to fish. It is hard to beat steelhead trout for flavor, nutrition (including low mercury), availability, and sustainabity (farming practices). In terms of taste, it reminds me of a mild salmon; it tastes a bit milder (less fishy) and is a bit leaner, while still being rich and flaky. Easily one of the best tasting fish I've eaten - such that I had to check what I paid for it after eating it, because it was hard to believe the delicious fish I'd just had was only half the price of sablefish/char. Although
Fresh, not fishy, slightly milder than salmon, great price for our area! I've developed a love for Steelhead trout lately and was purchasing it at our local BJ's. Well, Amazon's has far better equal portions (now I don't have to take the smaller one!), and it's fresher (how does A do that?), and the price is better. My favorite recipe is to top it with a generous amount of basil pesto followed by chopped walnuts. Bake. Amazing!
