Worth Every Penny These are excellent hiking boots. I purchased for 2 weeks I spent in Israel literally walking and hiking everywhere! They are very grippy and water proof! Perfect Trail Partner These boots are the perfect hiking companion. I broke them in on a 7.5 mile hike with 1900 ft elevation gain. The traction was perfect, downhill was slightly uncomfortable as my toes slid around (but this trail was a VERY steep descent, & a less steep grade probably wouldn't be felt much at all). They needed no break-in period and I had absolutely no blisters or even discomfort the whole time. Tongues stick out and collect rain and snow These are very comfortable and warm. They do run small and the wide is barely wide. My feet stay dry and they are light and easy to walk in. But the way the laces slide under the leather logo on the tongue is terrible. If snow is any higher than an inch, the tongues act like a snow scoop. And if it’s actively snowing or raining, the tongue funnels the wet right in!

Comfortable, water resistant and excellent grip. This boots are like walking in clouds! They are excellent to walk long distances and are worth every penny. They are true to size (10) and the color is versatile plus water resistant!! No idea why some people complaints about gaps in the ankle, I have no issues whatsoever.
