2.5 year almost daily use- would I buy it again? We have had this robot since Christmas 2020. This was my first robot vacuum and I can say that it has convinced me never to go without one. I also know thanks to this unit what features I want and that smart enough isn't always smart enough. i3 did get an upgrade where you can map and specify what rooms to clean but after trying a dozen times and dedicating many hours to the mapping run (which only maps not cleans) I had to settle for the map that most closely got our floor plan, it missed half
This should be the REAL starter Roomba that people buy. I had two Roomba 692's which I used to clean my 1100 Sqft split level townhome. And even though they used the older "bounce" style navigation, were still effective cleaners. However, they tended to attack dirt and furniture with equal ferocity. That's why foam rubber bumpers for Roomba's are a thing you can actually buy here on Amazon. The 600's got the job done, it's just that it wasn't always pretty.Enter the i3. It's a master class in refinement. Not only does the i3 smartly navigate the
iRobot should just sell brooms at this point I've had this vacuum for a little over a year and it's really just been an annoyance. My review is summarized below, but I would also suggest a quick Google/Bing/DuckDuckGo search with the terms "roomba terrible reddit". Confirmation bias is a thing, but so is astroturfing and premature reviewing, both of which are prevalent on this site.Let me go ahead and get the one positive out of the way: The vacuum is pretty strong. It pulls more crud from between hardwood boards than my Dyson vacuum. Yay.
Very happy. When my 360 S5 lost it's mind I resorted to my old upright for a while but really missed a robot cleaner. The 360 was a quality vacuum but after a couple years decided it would only work in the kitchen, in every other room it acted like it was terrified and would not clean but a small area. Now to the iRobot i3. First I purchased it used as the price was really attractive. When it arrived it was in perfect condidion and had obviously never been used. It was unblemished and clean and included ever
Make sure you read the details!! 1) We originally had the i6 with automatic dirt dispenser, unfortunately due to a new puppy we had to toss it. We purchased this i3 model thinking it was totally compatible as the i3+EVO but this particular model is not. This one is the i3-3150. It does not have the type of debris bin the i6 had where it allows it to automatically be emptied. This particular model comes with the standard, empty yourself, bin cartridge. But - luckily, we still had the old bin from the i6 and they are compatib
A workhorse for over 1 year I’ve been using the Roomba i3 for over 1 year. I have hardwood floors with area rugs and carpeted bedrooms on the second floor. I also have a shedding dog. I have a basic charging station- not the one that removes debris from the dust bin. The unit did not have room mapping when I bought it. A software upgrade added room mapping.Overall, I really like the roomba i3. It been a game changer for me. I hated vacuuming dog hair up all the time. This thing does the trick! I recommended it to fri
WOW. Who knew such a little vacuum could do such a great job I bought this for my wife for Christmas. It was her request, so that got me off the hook if it didn’t work! Frankly, I didn’t EXPECT it to work very good. How could that little thing with hardly any suction at all POSSIBLY clean carpets and hard floors. I was so wrong! I have gone from skeptic to absolute fan! This little guy has exceeded my expectations dramatically. Our hard floors used to be continually dirty. You know how it is. Either sweeping or dusting mopping constantly to keep hard flo
Roomba i3 Pros and Cons For the first week of ownership, we were disappointed in the robots random movements, but we had read in other reviews that it needs some time to explore and update itself, so we gave it a chance. The more it explored, the more software updates were downloaded, and the more efficiently it performed. Here are the pros and cons of owning this model:PROS:- Software updates that have greatly improved the i3's capabilities.-- Scheduled automatic cleaning is easy to setup in the app.- Unlike the more
