protocol issue - using dock with usb-c switch i bought this as an extension into a usb-c switch from a Mac mini m4 pro. for some reason, the mac mini didnt like it only when going thru the switch. my macbook was fine.My desk has to accomodate both my HP work laptop, and a personal computer. i have a thunderbolt 3 dock that has two Displayport outs to dual 2k monitors, and eacch computer works thru my dock, but i had to switch cords all the time, which was going to kill the thunderbolt port on the dock eventually from all the wear and tea

Quality cable, get this. This is just a cable, but for those interested, yes, it does 40 Gbit transfers. I tested the cable with my USB4 enclosure. While the cable is almost 1 meter long, it did not influence the speed at all.It is well built, a bit stiff. I haven't tested the 240W charging capability as I do not have devices that pull that much current. This was a lightning deal, so I had to get it. Would recommend.
